Crohn's and Colitis

We are so excited for the new website launch of our friends at Be Well!  Be Well’s mission is to design and sell products to make life easier for those living with IBD.  See her story and website below!  We LOVE what she is doing for the IBD community!

“My journey with Crohn's started back in my childhood with frequent “belly aches” and honestly, I had no idea what would be in store for me. I dealt with a lot of pain and anxiety throughout a normal day. Since my official diagnosis at 17, I've had several extended hospital stays.

It was during my most recent stay that I was taking notes to remind myself what low fiber foods are good to eat during a flare. I looked up IBD journals and felt like they were all missing certain items that I wanted to track. I proceeded to design my own journal and included a “shopping” list (the good food trends found through tracking).

Then I began to think of other items I use around my house to make my life easier. This is how BeWell was born; my vision to design products that make life a little easier for all of us suffering from IBD. Turning the ice cream pail toilet in my backseat into a more comfortable and collapsible option. BeWell was named after my GI doctor saying this to me when we parted ways.”

Our office helps adults and children with bad medical conditions, like Crohn’s disease , obtain benefits including monthly income and health insurance. Generally for children they have to be in a low income family. For adults they could either be low income or have worked enough to have sufficient social security credits . ( usually about 5 out of the least 10 years working) .

I feel often time people are unaware of the ssdi or ssi programs. So for example if a person working with Crohn’s starts to miss more and more work due to the symptoms and they get to a point where they can’t sustain full time employment they may want to apply. The payments are based on when you apply so if a person waits they get less income.

If we did represent a client, there  is never an upfront fee as well. Our fee would come from Social Security out of a portion of the back payment that could be due if the client wins.

But generally if any of your members have questions on if they could be eligible or if they were denied,  just have them reach out to me I would be glad to speak with them. My phone is 215-708-1234 my website is unabletowork.com

Sincerely,

Marc Benjamin Shipon, Esq.

The best place to find this information is through searching ClinicalTrials.gov (https://clinicaltrials.gov/). The search parameters are pretty self-explanatory. If you search “inflammatory bowel disease” and “stem cell transplantation” you get these 24 hits: https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/results?cond=Inflammatory+bowel+disease&term=stem+cell+transplantation&type=&rslt=&age_v=&gndr=&intr=&titles=&outc=&spons=&lead=&id=&cntry=&state=&city=&dist=&locn=&rsub=&strd_s=&strd_e=&prcd_s=&prcd_e=&sfpd_s=&sfpd_e=&rfpd_s=&rfpd_e=&lupd_s=&lupd_e=&sort=

Good digestive health allows the body to properly break down food and absorb nutrients to keep the body healthy. People with healthy digestion are less likely to experience problems such as constipation, heartburn, bloating, indigestion, or more serious digestive diseases.
